About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and positively affect their healthcare experience. The role includes providing attentive service, processing transactions, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and helping keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel, including by working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Able to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
Able to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
Stay current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
