About The Position

The Store Associate works in a retail setting to provide customer-focused service and support store operations. The role involves working independently and as part of a team to assist customers and contribute to CVS Health’s goal of supporting people’s health needs. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to perform tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping departments stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
