About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s services. The role includes customer service, cashiering, maintaining store shelves and inventory, supporting store opening and closing, assisting across departments, and potentially working shifts in the pharmacy when needed. The position is part-time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items.
Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping keep them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
