About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health-focused services. The role provides welcoming, compassionate customer service; performs cashier duties; maintains the sales floor and inventory; supports store opening and closing activities; and helps keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise. The position is part-time, with 15 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately and according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
