About The Position

Sedgebrook is seeking a full-time Store Associate to support daily operations of our Cardinal Market. This role is responsible for opening and closing procedures, receiving and ordering inventory, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring the Market is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail and a friendly, hospitality-focused mindset.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 95% of the work day and lift up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • Dependable attendance and reliability.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in senior living or working with older adults a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, efficient service to residents, guests, and customers.
  • Open and close the Cardinal Market according to established procedures.
  • Receive, stock, and track inventory using FIFO standards and proper item dating.
  • Prepare and submit weekly orders.
  • Accurately operate the cash register or Point-of-Sale (POS) system, including resident and department charges and cash handling and deposits.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the Market daily.
  • Organize and care for Market equipment and supplies.
