About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role provides an opportunity to contribute to customers’ healthcare needs and to the operation of the store.

The associate delivers friendly, attentive service; performs cashier duties; maintains the sales floor and inventory; supports opening and closing activities when needed; and assists across store departments, including photo and beauty. When needed, the associate may assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development. The role also includes promoting CVS services and loyalty programs.

This is a part-time position with 15 anticipated weekly hours. The stated hourly pay range is $15.00–$22.00. The position is eligible for benefits and programs depending on hours worked and eligibility, including dental, vision, wellness resources, employee discounts, and access to certain voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating additional items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
