About The Position

Batteries Plus in Nashua is hiring a full-time Store Associate/Device Repair Technician to provide power and lighting solutions for our customers. This role is perfect for someone who is a tech enthusiast, enjoys customer interaction, is skilled at troubleshooting technical issues, and has some knowledge of cars. The position involves assisting customers in finding the right battery for various applications, from smartphones to mobility scooters, and performing expert repairs on devices such as car batteries, cracked phone screens, broken glass, and faulty ports. No prior experience is necessary as paid training and certification are provided for all aspects of the business. The company fosters a team-oriented culture with opportunities for growth within their network of four regional retail stores.

Requirements

Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies with minimal guidance
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments, effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and customer service skills; strong customer service focus; ability to inform, teach, and train
Working conditions are typical for a retail environment
This position requires the employee to regularly use hands to handle or touch electronic products.
The position also requires the employee to regularly use a computer and other office equipment, as well as tools.
This position requires lifting up to 50 lb on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, determine needs, and answer questions
Suggest sell add-on items, participate in retail store and commercial sales activities in order to achieve sales and profit goals
Ask questions to identify potential commercial customers
Operate computer/cash register to complete sales transactions with accuracy
Answer phones, assist callers, and ensure messages are relayed in a timely, accurate manner
Assist in achieving retail and commercial sales initiatives
Watch for loss prevention issues and advise management of any unusual activities
Function as a team player doing whatever is necessary to help attain company goals
Demonstrate a customer-first mentality
Install batteries, perform tests and tech work
Rebuild battery packs as needed
Repair smart phones, tablets, light fixtures and other devices as needed
Replace screens, batteries and other components on smart phones and tablets
Cut keys and reprogram key fob remotes
Assist in all store operations responsibilities as assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager
Rotate and stock inventory
Load, unload, and deliver or arrange delivery of product to customers or via third party delivery companies
Organize daily recovery of displays to achieve full store appearance
Maintain retail shelf label pricing
Build displays; setting up & taking down shelves and fixtures
Prepare store for daily opening and closing including counting and reconciling register drawers
Maintain physical facility safety and appearance including: mowing lawn, removing snow, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
Maintain restroom cleanliness
Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
