This role also steps in to oversee store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring sales, service, and operational goals are consistently achieved.

Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate and set the example for Adams’ culture and values
  • Previous supervisory or management experience (2–3 years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of store operations, including sales, merchandising, and inventory control
  • Ability to operate Adams’ point of sale systems
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity, and knowledge of Adams’ products and commitment to quality
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by creating a friendly, engaging, and well-maintained shopping environment
  • Support and oversee daily store operations and step in for the Store Manager as needed
  • Monitor sales performance, payroll, and expenses to drive profitability and meet store goals
  • Ensure proper inventory levels, merchandising standards, signage accuracy, and product quality across all departments
  • Lead, coach, and develop department managers and team members to support growth and performance
  • Maintain strong communication and coordination across all departments to ensure efficient operations
  • Oversee store conditions including cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and equipment functionality
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally
