GDIT is looking for a Compute, Storage and Data Protection Team Lead to join their National Institutes of Health (NIH) CIT Hosting and Storage Services Program. The role requires a forward-thinking technical leader who can inspire and develop teams while ensuring the reliable delivery of high-quality technology services. The ideal candidate will combine strong people leadership with technical insight and operational discipline, supported by experience and expertise in compute, server operating systems, virtualization, storage, and backup services. This leader will provide clear direction and accountability for day-to-day operations and maintenance, service delivery, and project execution, while applying technical understanding to guide decisions and address complex challenges. They will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation; empower team members to grow and succeed; and work closely with customers and stakeholders to deliver meaningful results. The successful candidate will balance operational excellence with modernization, ensuring the team delivers reliably today while continuously improving services and capabilities for the future. This is a HYBRID role requiring 3 days on customer site in Bethesda MD. The role requires obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust, which involves an investigation into personal and criminal behavior, financial conduct, foreign influence, and other adjudications. Onsite fingerprinting will be required.
