About The Position

Performs activities related to the operation and maintenance of storage facilities. This role involves rotating shift work and requires the ability to operate and maintain underground storage facility equipment, perform measurement activities, and ensure facility appearance and quality assurance. The position may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions and requires the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions.

Requirements

  • Training and experience relative to company and governmental operating/safety procedures.
  • Training and experience relative to gas system/liquid pipeline maintenance operations.
  • Training and experience relative to storage well injection and withdrawal.
  • Training and experience relative to construction and maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of characteristics of products handled.
  • Ability to operate and maintain underground storage facility.
  • Ability to apply basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to: mud, gravel, sand, rocks, ice and/or snow.
  • Ability to work in confined areas.
  • Ability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
  • Ability to detect and react to warning signals at work sites.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment as required.
  • Ability to work in well-lighted, climate-controlled areas.
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in wet or humid conditions (not weather related).
  • Ability to work in extreme cold (not weather related).
  • Ability to work in extreme heat (not weather related).
  • Ability to work around dust, fumes, gases.
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts.
  • Ability to work in potential electric shock environments.
  • Ability to work with prolonged exposure to vibration.
  • Ability to work in high-pitched noises/loud noises environments.
  • Ability to work at unprotected heights.
  • Ability to perform frequent repetitive motion.
  • Ability to use CRT (Computer Monitor(s)).

Responsibilities

  • Perform rotating shift work at storage facility.
  • Operate and maintain storage field equipment.
  • Perform measurement activities/Gauging tanks.
  • Change charts.
  • Blow drips.
  • Maintain facility appearance.
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control.
  • Operate engines/gas compressors.
  • Operate gas dehydration equipment.
  • Monitor pressure and check operation of equipment.
  • Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles.
  • Read, record, prepare, and/or process information from charts, dials, gauges, controls, and other recording devices.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Address equipment operation and performance problems.
  • Complete safety/environmental forms.
  • Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
  • Be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions.
  • Follow safety precautions to prevent serious injury or property damage.
