About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Storage Engineer with extensive experience in enterprise storage solutions, particularly with Dell EMC platforms. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing storage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability. The position is 100% remote.

Requirements

5+ years of dedicated enterprise storage engineering experience.
3+ years specifically focused on Dell EMC platforms.
Deep technical knowledge of Dell EMC PowerScale/Isilon (OneFS) architecture.
Experience with Dell EMC PowerScale features: SmartPools, SmartQuotas, SyncIQ, InsightIQ, and DataIQ.
Proven experience deploying and managing Dell EMC ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage).
Strong understanding of object-based architectures, buckets, namespaces, and geo-replication.
Advanced understanding of NFS (v3/v4), SMB/CIFS, and S3 API.
Strong grasp of storage networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, LACP).
Experience with directory services integration (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos).
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex system logs and performance metrics.

Nice To Haves

Experience with other Dell EMC storage arrays (PowerMax, VPLEX).
Experience with SAN switches (Brocade, Cisco MDS).
Familiarity with hybrid-cloud storage tiering (e.g., CloudPools tiering to AWS/Azure/GCP).
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Scripting proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Responsibilities

Focus on Dell EMC platforms, including PowerScale/Isilon and ECS.
Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of storage infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage-related issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet storage requirements.
