About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Storage & Database DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing storage and database solutions. You will lead DevOps initiatives to enhance efficiency, drive automation, and foster a modern DevOps culture. This position requires strong technical expertise in various storage and database technologies, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. You will also be involved in technical research and innovation to stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to the company's technical roadmap.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in at least one of: Redis/Tair, MySQL, TiDB, MongoDB, S3-compatible object storage, graph databases (e.g., Nebula).
- Solid understanding of architecture principles, performance optimization, transaction management, and high-availability solutions.
- Solid software development background; proficient in at least one of Python, Go, or Java.
- Ability to quickly translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proven ability to independently lead major cross-functional projects; capable of defining plans, tracking progress, and coordinating resources.
- Excellent communication skills; effective at working across teams and organizational levels.
- Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (spoken and written).
Nice To Haves
- Experience building storage/database management platforms, middleware, or related systems.
- Cross-industry storage/database application experience.
- Open-source contributions or technical patents.
Responsibilities
- Product Solution Design: Understand business requirements and design highly available, high-performance, and scalable storage/database solutions using technologies like Redis, MySQL, TiDB, and MongoDB.
- Platform Development & Optimization: Lead DevOps efficiency initiatives for storage and databases, driving automated deployment, intelligent monitoring, and self-healing capabilities.
- Cross-functional Initiative Delivery: Act as project owner to coordinate cross-departmental resources, define project plans and technical approaches, and ensure successful delivery of major initiatives.
- Technical Research & Innovation: Track cutting-edge developments in the storage/database space, explore new technology applicability, lead technical pre-research and PoC validation, and provide recommendations for the company's technical roadmap.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical support and consulting to business and engineering teams, and organize internal technical training and sharing sessions.
