About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a responsible, motivated, and thoughtful couple to manage one of our moving and storage centers. One part of the couple team will need to apply for Assistant Manager R252255. While one partner manages the rental facility as the Storage Center General Manager, the other can work alongside as the Assistant Manager. An on-site apartment is provided. Managing a U-Haul moving and storage center is varied, fast-paced, and rewarding work. U-Haul offers a 'Hire Fast, Pay Fast' philosophy, with the possibility of starting today and getting paid today. Two hands-on working interviews are scheduled, and you get paid for each. A $100 hiring bonus is offered, along with a $300 cash bonus upon completion of the U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores.

Requirements

1-3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
Computer expertise.
Organizational expertise.
Management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform profit/loss analyses.
Hire and mentor new team members.
Track and itemize inventory.
Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment.
Manage the personnel budget.
Ensure that customers receive the highest quality of care.
Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash.
Clean and monitor premises, and maintain a secure environment.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
