About The Position

Protect Our Winters (POW) is seeking an organized and enthusiastic Events Intern to support the Events & Merchandise Team during their busiest season. This role involves assisting with the execution of Stoke the Vote campaign events and community activations, as well as event communication. The internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit event production, campaign activations, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and available to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Based in the Boulder/Denver area with a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Available to work evenings and weekends throughout the internship.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for the outdoors, climate advocacy, and community engagement.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Comfortable using Wordpress, or another website hosting platform.
• Comfortable using Mailchimp, or another email automation platform.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with events or nonprofits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of Stoke the Vote events and community activations.
• Assist with event setup, teardown, transportation, and on-site logistics.
• Prepare and organize event materials, signage, merchandise, and supplies.
• Represent POW at community events, festivals, and partner activations.
• Support with event communications by adding listings to the website and sending geo-targeted newsletters to our community.
