About The Position

This individual will be doing a variety of routine warehouse functions in a typical stockroom environment and external storage areas with little to no supervision where some judgement is required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to material handling, receiving, kitting, stocking, preparing parts to be sent for repair, cycle counting, transportation on site, and die management vendor support. As needed, performs supply chain responsibilities of contacting suppliers for pricing and part availability. Creates purchase requisitions in ERP system. Performs function in focused areas (multiple stockrooms, both inside production and outside) as trained and assigned where some tasks are well defined and others are loosely defined and will require some judgement and interpretation. Proficiently sit down forklift and pallet jack operate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/G.E.D. level of education
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a GMP or other regulated manufacturing or distribution work environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills including Microsoft office, Excel and ERP.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good math skills

Nice To Haves

  • AA Degree, BS/BA Degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of material flow, GMP guidelines, accuracy and cycle counting.
  • Significant prior use of ERP System and barcode scanning equipment.
  • Related job experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, transportation, picking, kitting, staging and cycle counting.
  • Forklift driving experience

Responsibilities

  • Performs all department operations proficiently and has comprehensive knowledge of job duties to act as SME for training purposes.
  • Responsible for stockroom support to meet customer needs.
  • Responsible for issuing out parts to plant personnel as requested.
  • Maintains inventories of stockroom parts necessary to support plant engineering, laboratory and production.
  • Responsible for reporting stockroom KPI reports.
  • Responsible for following SOP and providing feedback when SOP needs to be revised.
  • Always uses safe working methods/procedures to avoid personal injury, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property.
  • Observes all corporate and Northridge plant safety rules, SOPs and procedures.
  • Reports unsafe working conditions or equipment operation to supervisor immediately.
  • Ability to read, write legibly, understand, and communicate verbally in English.
  • Operates sit down forklift, pallet jack and electric cart.
  • At a Certified level of proficiency, the employee conducts the more difficult assignments, provides input on work procedures, and guides the work of others.
  • May be assigned to represent the department on committees such as safety or continuous improvement.
  • Maintains assigned areas in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion.
  • Makes suggestions and contributes to stockroom related process improvements.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
  • Utilizes handheld barcode scanners to read barcodes and record transactions in ERP system.
  • General mastery of receiving, stocking, and issue out processes of stockroom.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot and correct any inventory and/or documentation discrepancies.
  • Physically move goods from receiving locations to stockroom
  • Label goods with description and stockroom location.
  • Put away goods and do corresponding ERP transactions.
  • Count and verify quantities physically in stock and verify ERP system.
  • Issue out in ERP system from manual records and log sheets.

  • Administer new inventory requests.
  • Put away returns physically in stockroom and do ERP system transaction.
  • Replenish other stocking locations within production.
  • Manage small equipment components that require repair, package for shipment.
  • Pick up recycled batteries from various locations within the plant.
  • Forklift and pallet jack driver for material movement
