About The Position

The Inventory Lead ensures that all stockroom inventory processes are executed per operating instructions and compliance requirements. This includes cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, discrepancy research, stockroom daily sheet research, inventory adjustments, training, and inventory audit leadership. The role demonstrates leadership of stockroom inventory activities, identifies and helps implement process improvements, and interacts heavily with manufacturing value streams. The lead assigns resources to complete daily work, shows willingness to perform the same work, and ensures resources are performing assigned tasks and following work instructions. This position is a Subject Matter Expert for Oracle stock system transactions, trains co-workers on stockroom inventory transactions, performs internal compliance audits, conducts research and assigns root cause of errors providing feedback to manager, and performs inventory adjustments and system transactions that have financial impact per work instructions.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Experience with stockroom, material handling, or inventory
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage conflict and participate in team activities.
  • Computer skills to carry out data entry in Microsoft Office
  • Ability and willingness to recommend and lead process improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehousing environment
  • Ability to operate hand jack and lift up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Ability to obtain forklift license and operate forklift on a regular basis
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Possess adequate hand/ eye coordination and visual acuity to perform required tasks
  • Ability to read and fully comprehend written instructions in English.
