About The Position

Join the Marine Biological Laboratory Team for an Exciting Summer Opportunity! The Marine Biological Laboratory is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Stockroom team for Summer 2026. This temporary, part-time position offers four-hour shifts with a flexible start time in the late morning or early afternoon, Monday through Friday—leaving your evenings and weekends free to enjoy all that Woods Hole and Cape Cod have to offer. The ideal candidate will be available June 1 through August 28, 2026 , and will bring strong attention to detail, a positive and self-motivated attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills. A high school diploma is required. Prior customer service experience—especially in a research or laboratory environment—and familiarity with chemical safety practices are preferred. This role offers the opportunity to interact with a diverse community of MBL staff, students, and visiting scientists in a dynamic research setting.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and helpful environment for Stockroom customers
• Assist with supply sales and provide guidance on the use of handheld scanners
• Receive incoming deliveries and restock inventory efficiently
• Support the annual inventory process
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide accurate information on products and services
