About The Position

The Stockroom Associate plays an important role in supporting the guest experience at our Harbor Springs Den by ensuring product is quickly, accurately, and safely moved between the back stock area and the sales floor. This role serves as a key communication link between the sales floor and back room, helping the team locate product, restock efficiently, process shipments, and maintain an organized inventory space. This position requires strong communication, urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety protocols closely in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work Thursday through Sunday, which are peak business days for this location.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort using a walkie talkie throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work with urgency while maintaining accuracy and safety.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols closely and consistently.
  • Ability to lift, carry, move, and organize product as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Comfortable working in a back stock environment with reduced overhead clearance in certain areas. Team members are expected to follow posted safety guidance and use provided safety supports as directed.
  • Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior retail, stock, inventory, warehouse, or back-of-house experience.
  • Experience processing shipments or organizing back stock.
  • Comfort supporting a customer-facing retail team in real time.
  • Ability to anticipate sales floor needs and proactively restock during peak periods.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales floor by quickly retrieving requested product from the back stock area for guests and team members.
  • Wear and actively monitor a walkie talkie during scheduled shifts to stay in constant communication with the sales floor.
  • Respond promptly to product requests, restock needs, and customer support needs communicated by the retail team.
  • Process incoming shipments accurately and efficiently, including unpacking, sorting, organizing, and preparing product for the sales floor or back stock.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe back room environment.
  • Replenish sales floor product as needed throughout the day, especially during peak business periods.
  • Help ensure inventory is stored in the correct locations and easy for the team to access.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including posted low-clearance signage, use of protective bump padding areas, and any required or recommended safety equipment.
  • Communicate inventory needs, low-stock items, misplaced product, or back room concerns to store leadership.
  • Support the broader store team as needed to create a seamless guest experience.
