About The Position

This role is responsible for leading and developing teams, driving financial performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service within a designated store area. The Stocking Coach will mentor associates, manage operational processes, and uphold company values and standards. This position is crucial in shaping the future of retail by improving the shopping experience and contributing to the company's mission of helping customers save money so they can live better.

Requirements

• 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
• Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
• Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams effectively.
• Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
• Manages and supports customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
• Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit Loss statements and managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
• Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
• Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved for the business area.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring associates, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and communicating expectations consistently and effectively.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Works collaboratively, builds strong and trusting relationships, and communicates with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence.
• Attracts and retains the best talent, empowers and develops talent, and recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments.
