About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and developing teams, driving financial performance and sales, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The Stocking Coach will model exceptional customer service, manage operational processes, and provide supervision and development opportunities for associates. They will also be responsible for recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential. The role emphasizes a culture of belonging, integrity, and continuous improvement, aligning with Walmart's values and mission.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  • Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and providing recognition.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Creates a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging.
  • Attracts and retains the best talent, empowers and develops talent, and recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments.
  • Delivers results while putting the customer first, considering and adapting to how, where, and when customers shop.
