About The Position

This position leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. It involves touring stores, providing feedback, and communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. The role introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams effectively. It also models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, manages and supports customer service initiatives, ensures customer needs are resolved, and develops action plans for process improvement. The position drives financial performance and sales by reviewing financial statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes, and developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. It provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset. The role ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

  • Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, communicating expectations consistently and effectively, ensuring a belonging mindset in the workplace, and recruiting and developing qualified associates.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability, measuring progress, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
