About The Position

TJ Maxx is seeking a Stocking Associate to join their team. This role is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate will adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. This position may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role models established customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and accurately handles customer transactions. The associate will promote credit and loyalty programs, maintain merchandising standards, and process merchandise for the sales floor. They will also participate in store recovery, maintain cleanliness and organization standards for the sales floor and the entire store, and provide/accept recognition and feedback. Adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures, as well as support for store shrink reduction and safety awareness, are key. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.

  • Modeling established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.

  • Accurately ringing customer purchases/returns and counting change back to the customer.
  • Promoting credit and loyalty programs.
  • Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and following established merchandising procedures and standards.
  • Accurately processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
  • Initiating and participating in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
  • Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participating in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store.
  • Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback.
  • Adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
  • Participating in safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment.
