About The Position

The Stocking Associate performs merchandise stocking duties in Receiving and on the Sales Floor. The role supports a positive customer experience while organizing back stock, replenishing merchandise, unloading trucks as needed, and maintaining product knowledge. The associate also assists with pricing and signing, keeps the work area clean and supplied, and follows company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

The position works under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. The role includes frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and carrying merchandise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Ability to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally move objects up to 100 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods and repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally use ladders, stairs, ramps, machinery, and/or power tools, and work in confined spaces, temperature extremes, outdoor elements, noisy environments, or hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and provide customers with a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Organize and manage back stock daily.
• Replenish products on shelves and in back stock according to merchandising guidelines.
• Unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and plan-o-grams.
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signing.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
