About The Position

This Department Manager role focuses on coordinating associates to manage the receiving and flow of merchandise from trailers to the sales floor. Responsibilities include unloading, sorting, and stocking merchandise, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and acting as a team lead for the CAP 2 Associates. The role involves delegating tasks, providing training and feedback, and maintaining the cold chain for refrigerated and frozen goods.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Preparing and resetting Receiving Area.
• Unloading and sorting general merchandise trailers and completing live unloading of other types of merchandise.
• Delegating, following-up and pulling pallets of merchandise to the salesfloor for overnight processing.
• Delegating, following-up and assisting in stocking, applying product protection (e.g. Spider Wire) on the salesfloor as assigned and binning overstock merchandise.
• Providing training, coaching and offering feedback to associates.
• Acting as team lead by providing direction to CAP 2 Associates.
• Maintaining cold chain for refrigerated and frozen receiving.
