About The Position

Reporting to the Travel Centre Manager, the Stock Person will be responsible to ensure products and merchandise are received, organized, and displayed in a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for replenishing shelves, organizing inventory, rotating products, and maintaining accurate stock levels to support efficient store operations and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, able to perform physical tasks, and committed to providing a positive shopping experience by ensuring products are readily available for customers at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail or grocery preferred;
• High School Completion or equivalent;
• Criminal record check will be required;
• Detail oriented with strong analytical, time management and organizational skills;
• Good communicator and ability to work well in a team environment;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision;
• Demonstrates accountability and accepts responsibilities for actions and outcomes.
• Must bring a copy of your Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check to the interview.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with products and merchandise according to company policies and procedures;
• Ensure products and merchandise are rotated and faced in an organized manner;
• Ensure that all products are within their expiration dates or best before dates;
• Assist with tracking of inventory levels and report low inventory to the appropriate personnel;
• Receive and unload deliveries from trucks and verify accuracy of shipments;
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of stockroom, shelves and sales floor including the back room to be swept and washed as required;
• The Stock Person is a key team member and may be asked to carry out other duties and activities related to the effectiveness and the successful implementation of the DCN Travel Centre.
