Requirements

  • Forklift Certification or the ability to obtain.
  • Positive work ethic/attitude and excellent attendance.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • The ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift 30-50lbs on an ongoing basis.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ work experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position is an asset.
  • Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Safely move and store stock with the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. This will include restacking stock onto skids or loading stock onto shelves.
  • Pull and organize stock for both internal and external customers in a timely and organized fashion.
  • Inspect goods for quality and immediately report any defects or discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular counts and audits to ensure the accuracy of the inventory and to help reconcile any inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure that every skid is properly secured, identified, and safely stored in the correct location.
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Various other tasks, as assigned by the Distribution Centre Manager and or Lead Hand.
