About The Position

This role ensures Mouser meets or exceeds customer expectations by maintaining high quality and accuracy standards. The Stock Control Associate strictly adheres to all posted procedures, maintains acceptable attendance, and demonstrates a positive, team-oriented demeanor. They contribute to the warehouse team's success by accepting "other duties as required" and assisting the department as a whole. Active cross-training in other areas is expected. The associate ensures a safe working environment by adhering to safety expectations and housekeeping requirements, and by notifying management of any observed safety hazards. Effective interaction with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization is key. Other important attributes include effectiveness in working with co-workers, ability to work overtime, a sense of urgency, ability to work unsupervised, flexibility, and a quality-focused demeanor. The associate follows appropriate procedures, notifies management of any violations, maintains a professional, neat, and orderly work area, and maintains ESD Control as applicable. Regular attendance at team talks and representing the company professionally are also expected. The role provides customer service excellence and supports the company's total quality process, including continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • Able to use a computer, and handheld computer/iPad (preferred)
  • Able to count and match accurately and perform simple math
  • Able to read and understand instructions in English
  • Strong quality and productivity orientation
  • Able to maneuver in aisles 36" wide, stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, grasp, push and pull for 10- 12 hours, and reach, lift and carry products weighing up to 40 pounds from ground level and up to 2' (using stairs and ladders)
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • May be trained to operate a powered industrial truck (such as wave, forklift and/or pallet jack) (preferred)
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Scans product and bin barcodes
  • Matches the supplier part number and quantity to the system information
  • Verifies parts in bin are the same as parts to be stocked
  • Rotates parts so that there is first in, first out (FIFO)
  • Uses the Warehouse Control System to find alternate locations, when necessary
