About The Position

The Stock Control Associate - Receiving position is an entry-level role (Level 1) within Mouser Electronics, a global distributor of semiconductors and electronic components. This role is crucial for ensuring that Mouser meets or exceeds customer expectations by maintaining high quality and accuracy in the receiving process. The associate will be responsible for handling product, verifying its details against documentation, and entering information into the Warehouse Computer System. The position requires adherence to procedures, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and contributing to a positive team dynamic. Cross-training in other areas may be required, and the associate will support the company's total quality process.

Requirements

  • Able to use a computer, and handheld computer/iPad (preferred)
  • Able to count and match accurately and perform simple math
  • Able to read and understand instructions in English
  • Strong quality and productivity orientation
  • Able to maneuver in aisles 36" wide, stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, grasp, push and pull for 10- 12 hours, and reach, lift and carry products weighing up to 40 pounds from ground level and up to 2' (using stairs and ladders)
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • handheld computer/iPad
  • May be trained to operate a powered industrial truck (such as wave, forklift and/or pallet jack)
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receives very small to bulky product from pallets, cartons and bags
  • Verifies part numbers, quantities, date codes, lot codes, and country of origins against packing list and part labels.
  • Reads and follows specific supplier and product label information
  • Enters product information into the Warehouse Computer System
  • Ensures Mouser meets or exceeds customer’s expectations by meeting and exceeding established quality/accuracy
  • Strictly adheres to all posted procedures
  • Maintains acceptable attendance based on Mouser Absence Policy guidelines
  • Demonstrates a positive “team” oriented demeanor and approach toward work assignments.
  • Actively cross-trains in other areas, as required, outside of a primary job function
  • Ensures a safe working environment for self and others by adhering to established safety expectations and by following established housekeeping requirements.
  • Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization
  • Follows appropriate procedures for area
  • Notifies management of any procedure violations
  • Maintains a professional, neat and orderly work area, including product of preservation
  • Maintains ESD Control for area, as applicable
