About The Position

Modern Genesis of Lake Norman has an immediate opening for an Automotive Stock Clerk. Join the team of talented parts professionals at Modern Genesis of Lake Norman. This role involves checking in stock orders, putting parts in correct bin locations, pulling technician orders and dispatching them to the shop, receiving and reconciling shipments, obtaining parts from local vendors, assisting with inventory management, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the Parts Department. The position also includes picking up and delivering parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors, verifying invoices, checking payments, keeping logs of deliveries and pick-ups, and unloading the truck each night.

  • 1+ year experience with automotive parts preferred

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Check in stock orders and put parts in the correct BINS locations.
  • Pull technician orders and dispatch them to the shop.
  • Receive, reconcile, and locate shipments from outside vendors.
  • Obtain parts from local vendors as needed via Company vehicle.
  • Help with inventory management of current and new parts.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Parts Department.
  • Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
  • Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
  • Unloads truck each night, returning all paperwork and undelivered parts.
