About The Position

This is a part-time weekend position for a Stock Clerk in the Materials Department. The role involves managing incoming and outgoing freight transactions, verifying shipment details, selecting appropriate carriers, and preparing materials for shipment. Accuracy in inventory management and data entry is crucial. The position requires knowledge of common warehouse practices and tools, and the ability to perform other assigned duties by the Materials Manager or Stockroom Supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma
Valid driver's license
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Must be authorized to work in the Unites States

Responsibilities

Accomplishing incoming and outgoing freight transactions, accurately completing DTS receiving documents in accordance with established procedures.
Verifying quantities, part numbers, descriptions, serial numbers, and conditions of inbound and outbound shipments.
Selecting an appropriate carrier based on delivery requirements to ensure on time, economical delivery.
Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments.
Separating delivery and pick up shipments for various warehouses, Quality Control, and other departments.
Preparing and packaging material for shipment in accordance with Company procedures, 49 CFR, and IATA Dangerous Goods.
Ensuring that inventory balances remain accurate by proper completion of DTS documents.
Making accurate data entries in accordance with established procedures.
Utilizing common warehouse practices and warehouse tool operations, for example: forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
Performing other duties assigned by the Materials Manager or Stockroom Supervisor related to the stockroom and company needs.
