About The Position

Tessera is seeking a Motivated and Hard-Working Stock Clerk with a positive/can-do/helpful attitude. This role is based at the Central Issue Facility (CIF) on Fort Hood, Texas. Requirements

  • A valid state driver’s license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one (1) year of stock clerk experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of a Central Issuing Facility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive equipment from customers and make a serviceability determination about its condition, checking for cleanliness or need for repair. Document customer's Turn-In Worksheet as per policy and procedures. Items not meeting standards require managerial approval.
  • Determine that equipment is clean, serviceable, and of appropriate size before distributing it to customers. Document the Issue Worksheet with each item distributed, including size and quantity, as per policy and procedures.
  • Perform daily assigned work supporting customers and ensuring total satisfaction. Administer retail operations to maintain appointment schedules and treat all customers within quality standards. Handle customer flow, ensure appropriate paperwork, and expedite service if special help is needed. Assist customers in assembly, disassembly, and identification of equipment as necessary.
  • Conduct Direct Exchanges when a customer wants to exchange an item due to unserviceability or wrong sizing, performing both turn-in and issue tasks and ensuring all transactions are properly documented on the customer’s worksheet.
  • Place items on proper shelves or bins for distribution. Maintain a fully stocked workstation capable of supporting 150 full issues each day. Breakdown boxes and maintain a clean work environment. Box excess and non-issued items with accurate counts and identify content by posting labels. Provide pull lists to the Stock Clerk Lead at the end of each day.
  • Assist in preparing equipment for monthly inventories and counting all equipment in Bay 5, Bay 6, and the SSMO. Accurately post the counts to the Inventory Count Sheets.
  • Classify equipment to determine serviceability and Condition Code in accordance with specific Technical Manuals. Demilitarize equipment that is considered unserviceable or Condition Code H. Properly count, sort, and box excess and unserviceable equipment by LIN/NSN. Provide information to Stock Control Branch for proper documentation to maintain property accountability.
  • Use the Barcode Scanning System during daily operations to process Issues, Turn-ins, and Direct Exchanges. Scan customer IDs or CACs with a handheld device and input personal data into the CIF-ISM.
  • Assemble and disassemble all versions of Body Armor Vest (OTV/IOTV/MSV), ensuring quality standards are maintained with zero deficiencies. Issue Body Armor as required.
  • Assist with maintaining general cleanliness of the Central Issue Facility, including policing the building’s exterior grounds.
  • Repair some equipment using small hand tools and clean equipment turned in by customers.
  • Help ensure quality levels are maintained in all areas and report quality control complaints or issues to the Stock Clerk Lead. Understand all quality standards and work to the highest level.
  • Ensure proper safety and housekeeping standards are met. Wear appropriate PPE.
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment as required.
  • Maintain a neat appearance and wear appropriate clothing for the work being performed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
