About The Position

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking to hire a Stock Clerk/Materials Handler to join their team in the Leesville, LA region. This role involves ensuring materials are properly stored and stocked within assigned departments for organization and accessibility. The Stock Clerk/Materials Handler will maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts and report low on-hand material levels that impact production to the purchasing department. Responsibilities also include coordinating trash disposal, cleaning and sweeping assigned areas, and lifting/transporting materials up to 50 pounds. Weekly counts of on-hand materials may also be assigned. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding support to the operations/production team and excellent service to the team. This includes receiving and packing products to stock shelves, counting inventory, and stacking items in an organized system for easy access and accountability. Maintaining strict records of all unloaded, labeled, and stocked products throughout the plant is crucial.

Responsibilities

Ensuring that all materials are stored / stocked properly with-in the assigned departments to ensure everything is organized and in its place.
Stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure no products run out.
Reporting to the purchasing department when the on-hands level of all material is at a low point that impacts production.
Coordinating and managing the disposal of trash / cleaning and sweeping your assigned areas.
Lifting and transporting material that can weight up to 50 pounds.
Assigning weekly counts of on-hands material.
Receiving and packing products to stock shelves.
Counting inventory and stacking items on shelves in an organized system to ensure all items fit properly for easy access and accountability.
Maintaining strict records of all products unloaded, labeled, and stocked throughout the plant.
