About The Position

Busch’s is hiring a Stock Associate to join their family-owned Michigan team. This role involves building department sales, meeting stocking efficiency goals, receiving and verifying deliveries, merchandising, pricing, and stocking products. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining shelves and displays, completing price changes, organizing the back room, and cleaning the department. Additionally, the role includes assisting with inventory preparation, rotating products, following safe food handling practices, operating the POS system and cardboard baler, and building strong working relationships with guests, vendors, and associates. Exemplifying hospitality is a key aspect of guest interactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Proficient selling skills to ask questions, listen and make product recommendations.
  • Proficient cleaning abilities to meet sanitation and visual standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification for Hi Lo / Powered Pallet Jack desired.

Responsibilities

  • Build department sales by making product recommendations, answering questions and assisting guests.
  • Meet stocking efficiency goals.
  • Receive and verify department deliveries.
  • Merchandise, price and stock product.
  • Set and maintain shelves and displays.
  • Complete all price changes and tag maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of back room, including damaged product area.
  • Work items from back stock on to the sales floor and work pick list.
  • Clean department including floors, shelving and coolers.
  • Assist with preparation for inventory.
  • Rotate product to minimize out-of-dates.
  • Follow safe food handling and personal hygiene practices.
  • Operate POS (point of sale) as needed.
  • Operate cardboard baler and make bales as required.
  • Adhere to all Busch’s policies, practices and procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships with guests, vendors and associates.
  • Exemplify key concepts of hospitality when interacting with guests.
