About The Position

A stock associate organizes the merchandise in a retail stock room. Job duties include receiving and unpacking deliveries, inspecting items for damage, tagging items, and entering products into inventory, organizing stockroom shelves, and placing merchandise on the sales floor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Occasional weekend work as required to meet business needs.
  • Computer skills to operate inventory control software (NetSuite)
  • Memorization skills to learn the store layout and remember where various items go.
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies to help avoid injuries.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret paperwork.
  • Maintain consistent, dependable attendance.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
  • Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
  • Light mental and visual attention is required for performing work where there is some variety, but actions taken, and decisions made are limited to few possibilities.
  • Work requires some coordination with others.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving weekly truck deliveries and unpacking merchandise
  • Inspecting items for damages (Transferring 2nd quality product to returns dept)
  • Printing price tags or labels and applying them to merchandise
  • Entering items into inventory using RF scan guns and NetSuite
  • Maintaining the stock room clean and organized
  • Replenishing the salesfloor and assisting with floor moves
  • Returning products left around the store to their appropriate locations
  • Packing and shipping product to customers using UPS WorldShip
  • Fulfilling orders using NetSuite
  • Disposing of empty boxes, packaging, pallets and trash.
