About The Position
Join Our Team as a Stock Associate! Are you organized, detail-oriented, and ready to play a crucial role in keeping our store fully stocked and running smoothly? We're looking for Stock Associates to join our team! This position is essential in making sure our customers have access to the best products available. If you enjoy working behind the scenes and keeping everything in order, this role is for you! This Seasonal FT/PT position is seeking candidates that are able to work 20-40 hours a week, 6-8 hours (5am start, daytime & evening hours) and weekends. Candidates must be able to start ASAP and work until Christmas. Possible return March 2027! Grow with Gertens today!
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail.
- Familiarity with the range of company products.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly.
- Ability to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, especially in a stockroom environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs+ and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work in a variety of weather conditions when necessary.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in stock, inventory, or retail is a ideal.
Responsibilities
- Assist in unloading shipments and checking for shipment accuracy.
- Unpack and organize inventory, ensuring all products are accounted for and properly stored.
- Replenish stock on the sales floor as needed and ensure items are clearly labeled and displayed.
- Handle customer and sales associate inquiries about available stock.
- Pull defective or expired items from shelves and arrange for their return shipment.
- Conduct regular store inventory and use inventory control software to track and log product information.
- Assist with placing special orders and managing supply orders.
- Maintain proper safety procedures while handling stock in the stockroom.
- Report inventory issues to the inventory or store manager and assist with store cleaning tasks during closing shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a neat and efficient working environment.
- Other tasks as assigned.
