About The Position

At Orvis, our Associates are front line Retail Guides—inspiring, outfitting, and guiding customers on their outdoor adventures. We are Seeking a dynamic Retail Guide who appreciates the outdoor lifestyle and enjoys working in an environment geared towards outfitting customers for great adventures. This position is a seasonal and part time employee working up to 10 hours per week and will assist the sales team in maintaining a well stocked and neat work environment.

Requirements

Friendly and inviting personality, ability to build relationships, demonstrate care for customers and co-workers, and create a fun and energetic store vibe
Previous experience working in a retail environment and creating a welcoming space
Delivery of world-class customer service through empathy, critical thinking and customer centricity
Current computer skills and the ability to learn and apply business programs
Ability to handle ambiguity, use sound judgement, and solve problems for customers and team members
Ability to reach, move, and handle merchandise in high and low areas, lift up to 30 pounds, and the stamina to execute floor sets

Responsibilities

Create a store atmosphere that is welcoming and inclusive
Serve as a brand ambassador and lead by example in a fast-paced retail environment
Demonstrate our core values of surprising and delighting our customer, taking pride in our product, and protecting what we love
Enhance store presentation through merchandising, maintaining standards, and restocking
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly workspace by following all safety policies and procedures
