About The Position

We are seeking a Bartender (A.M.) to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. The Bartender will be responsible for taking orders, preparing and serving alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, maintaining stock/supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment. The ideal candidate is a driver of Forbes standards and will exemplify the values and beliefs of Eau Resort & Spa. This role is a A.M. position, and all candidates must be able to work weekends, and holidays. We have a full-time position available. This role is designated for our dining outlet, Stir.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • One-year(s) experience as a Bartender or Bar back
  • Food handling certificate
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
  • Ability to provide legible communication
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to understand guests' service needs
  • Ability to access and input information into Micros system
  • Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when preparing drinks and providing service to guests within any given period of time
  • Ability to focus on details
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in determining potentially intoxicated guests
  • Ability to maintain good coordination while preparing and serving orders quickly
  • Ability to exert strong physical effort in transporting cases of liquor and beer kegs from storeroom to bar
  • Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduate, some college
  • Certification in alcohol awareness program
  • Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service
  • Certification of C.P.R.
  • Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish
  • Previous guest relations training
