About The Position

This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations. HII designs, develops, integrates and manages the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated ISR operations and accelerated decision-making. HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Sub‑Project Lead to oversee all Manned Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) efforts within a high‑visibility program supporting U.S. Government customers. This CONUS‑based role provides leadership and coordination for Manned ISR activities conducted in Latin America, ensuring forward‑deployed operations remain aligned with HII’s high standards of performance, program execution, and customer satisfaction. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with regional partners, deployed teams, and internal stakeholders across HII to drive mission success.

Requirements

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in ISR operations, defense program management, or mission support.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing OCONUS mission execution from a CONUS environment, including coordination with deployed teams and international stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of manned ISR platforms, sensors, mission systems, and operational employment.
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex, geographically dispersed activities.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills, consistent with HII’s standards of professionalism and partnership.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting U.S. Government ISR operations or defense programs in Latin America.
  • Background working with DoD, DOS, or interagency partners involved in regional ISR operations.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese (desired but not required).
  • PMP, DAWIA PM, or similar certification.
  • Experience managing contractors or partner organizations within large‑scale defense missions.
  • Clearance: Possess and maintains a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all Manned ISR sub‑project activities taking place in Latin America from a CONUS location, ensuring alignment with HII program objectives, schedules, and contractual requirements.
  • Serve as the central coordination point between HII leadership, deployed personnel, government customers, and international mission partners.
  • Oversee operational planning, readiness, CONOPS development, and integration efforts to support Manned ISR mission execution in OCONUS environments.
  • Manage cross‑functional collaboration with HII engineering, logistics, operations, and intelligence teams, as well as OEMs, supporting forward‑deployed activities.
  • Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with HII quality standards, security policies, and mission assurance requirements.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, provide clear and timely communication, and deliver recurring updates to senior HII leadership and customers.
  • Ensure all regional operations are executed in accordance with U.S. Government policies, international agreements, and country‑specific operational limitations.
  • Contribute to HII’s culture of innovation, customer focus, and mission-first performance by improving processes, sustaining strong partnerships, and anticipating operational needs.
