About The Position

This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations. Summary The Full Motion Video Screener provides processing, exploitation and dissemination support to the Joint Intelligence Support Element, authoritatively identifying what is seen on full motion video feeds and reporting it in near real time so the Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere commander can decide and act. The role supports dynamic and deliberate operations against drug trafficking organizations across the area of responsibility. This role requires rotating shift coverage to maintain 24/7 operational support. Every day, HII helps U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) and its mission partners stay ahead of evolving threats by delivering the intelligence, technology, and operational expertise needed to protect U.S. interests across the Western Hemisphere. This requisition supports hiring multiple positions and experience levels. Final placement will be determined based on the selected applicant’s qualifications, experience, and skill sets.

Requirements

  • Level 3: 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Level 4: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Level 5: 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
  • Hands-on full motion video, imagery intelligence or PED exploitation experience, military or contractor.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and characterize activity on electro-optical and infrared motion imagery and to report it accurately under time pressure.
  • Experience with near real time reporting by tactical chat in an operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of motion imagery exploitation and geospatial tools, for example SOCET GXP, Google Earth, or comparable systems.
  • Experience on a 24 hour watch floor or operations center, including shift turnover.
  • Attention to detail sustained across long collection windows, and the judgement to distinguish what matters from what does not.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Clearance: must possess and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI access.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal FMV or geospatial intelligence training, for example a service imagery analyst course or the Full Motion Video Analysis course.
  • Experience supporting counternarcotics, maritime domain awareness, or counter threat network operations.
  • Prior experience with SOUTHCOM, JIATF-South, or another combatant command intelligence element.
  • Familiarity with maritime and air target recognition, including go-fast vessels, semi-submersibles, and low-flying aircraft.
  • Experience in a Distributed Ground Station or Joint Intelligence Support Element.
  • Spanish language proficiency in both speaking and writing

Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous eyes on live full motion video feeds and provide first-pass exploitation throughout the collection window.
  • Authoritatively identify vessels, aircraft, vehicles, personnel, activity and pattern of life on electro-optical and infrared full motion video, and state confidence plainly enough for a commander to act on.
  • Provide near real time reporting through tactical chat to the watch floor, the supported command, and mission partners.
  • Perform geolocation and mensuration, extracting coordinates and positional relationships to support tracking and interdiction decisions.
  • Produce mission summaries, storyboards, screenshots and post-mission reporting that capture what was observed and what it means.
  • Support the find, fix, finish, exploit, analyze and disseminate cycle through the full arc of dynamic operations.
  • Cue collection and recommend sensor adjustments to the ISR Tactical Controller then what you are seeing warrants it.
  • Maintain track continuity across shift changes and deliver clean turnover to the oncoming crew on a 24 hour, 7 day watch.
  • Coordinate with all-source and imagery analysts to place FMV observations in the wider intelligence picture.
  • Maintain currency on exploitation tools, reporting standards, and the tactics used by trafficking organizations in the area of responsibility.
