About The Position

The Stewardship Manager plays a key role in owning, improving and operationalizing programs within the Engagement Communications team’s successful donor stewardship programs, resulting in strengthened donor trust, retention and long-term engagement with the ministry. Duties include leading complex initiatives like the Concert Ticket Program, the T-shirt program, and in-house mailings like Daily Letters and Monthly Statements. This role creates systems and processes that others rely on and serves as a trusted partner across Development, Gift Operations, Donor Services, Data Services, and Engagement Communications. This role is both strategic and hands-on, with increasing influence over programs that directly impact the donor experience. Proactively influence our culture by demonstrating a positive, energetic influence throughout the ministry. Consistently represent the ministry with integrity through actions, words, and behavior that supports and aligns with our Mission and Values. Demonstrate the qualities of a life-time learner in the disciplines relevant to effectively perform job duties by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training. Actively participate and contribute to ministry wide initiatives and projects like Pledge Drives (daily shifts), Gratitude Fest, Daily Prayer (one time per day), All Team Meetings, All Team Celebrations – and including activities such as our annual banquet, Food and Fun Day, Summits (Remote Teams), Service Projects and others as announced. These are all key components of the ministry, our culture and are more fun to do together! Support and contribute to ministry endeavors by following employment policies and practices and supporting a safe and healthy work environment. Specifically, follow K-LOVE Inc.’s Injury Prevention and Safety program, support and maintain safety standards, and participate in safety training. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in communications, marketing, and/or fundraising.
  • Must have demonstrated written English and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities and handle various tasks simultaneously; perform job under pressure or in critical, time-bound situations while achieving objectives required.
  • High degree of accuracy and reliability in work.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships necessary.
  • Ability to adjust from working independently to a team setting.
  • Ability to adapt to changes that occur ministry-wide and interdepartmentally.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and is open to learning additional tools like Asana and Tableau.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in SalesForce is desired, but not required.
  • Experience working for a ministry and/or non-profit organization is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead key stewardship programs, ensuring they are donor-centered, scalable and operationally sound.
  • Lead the Concert Ticket Program, managing timelines, creating systems and products to improve data capture, automation and program adoption, and prioritizing donors and Donor Advisors.
  • Act as the source of truth for donors and Donor Advisors’ questions and issues around concerts, tours and shows in a timely manner.
  • Project manage the T-shirt Program by aligning Gift Operations, Digital, SalesForce Marketing and Engagement Communications to deliver a high-quality donor experience that balances team needs.
  • Oversee the Transactional and Daily Communications content projects in close collaboration with Engagement Ops, MarTech team to provide fresh, accurate and donor-centric content updates.
  • Coordinate approvals, track changes, and maintain documentation to ensure across-team alignment and a high-level donor experience.
  • Support Donor Services on complex donor communications, standardized responses, pledge receipt updates and stewardship-related messaging.
  • Partner with the Sr. Engagement Communications Manager on above stewardship activities, as well as donor journey improvement, events, story captures, outbound calling, campaigns, reporting and more.
  • Drive all programs forward with clear communications, key details and timely updates in Asana.
  • Prepare reports to share trends, insights, from multiple systems to inform future decision making,
  • Ensure tools and systems are in place to provide critical operational and project information to the Engagement leadership team and others to make actionable recommendations on both strategic goals and operational constraints.
  • Draft, proof, test, and edit various donor communications.
  • Plan, purchase and prepare gifts and swag bags for donors, then ensure successful data capture around these stewardship efforts.
  • Lead in-house mailing projects with label creation, packaging, transporting and keeping track of invoices.
  • Communicate directly with donors regarding event invitations, story captures and various projects
  • Collaborate closely with teams such as Data Services, Donor Services, Audience Engagement, Engagement Services, and others.
  • Perform other duties as required.
