About The Position

The Steward is responsible for maintaining a high level of sanitation in all kitchen areas and outlets, in accordance with Health Department and Stewarding standards. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing dishes, kitchen equipment, serving areas, and floors, as well as managing waste and restocking supplies. The position requires adherence to company policies, including the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, and participation in mandatory meetings and pre-shift sessions. Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, is essential.

Nice To Haves

Experience with floor cleaning machines.
Knowledge of Health Department sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

Cleans all air vents and air conditioning registers.
Cleans and degreases all rubber matting.
Removes all garbage, washes trash cans and replace liners.
Sweeps floors to remove any gum or substances.
Soaks floors with degreaser.
Uses floor cleaning machine to scrub kitchen floors.
Cleans drains and pours enzyme into drains.
Cleans food serving areas including counters, floors, food trays, food carts and kitchen equipment.
Washes and sanitizes dishes including china, plates, flatware, utensils, pots and pans, etc. either by hand or by using dishwasher machinery.
Cleans and stocks supplies such as plates, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensil items.
Replenishes all non food items as needed.
Lifts bus tubs to bus carts and pushes carts to the Kitchen.
Removes trash from kitchen areas and places in dumpster.
Breaks down empty boxes from kitchen areas and places in dumpster.
Maintains the proper level of sanitation in accordance with Health Department and Stewarding standards in all kitchen outlets.
Cleans and sanitizes all kitchen equipment in a safe manner.
Follows the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, greeting guests and team members.
Participates in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
