This specific position is at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, located in the San Bernardino Mountains, offering exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead and various outdoor activities. The resort features a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach, and extensive meeting and event spaces. This Steward position is a seasonal role from May 2026 to Mid-January 2027. The Steward supports the restaurant and banquet teams by ensuring all dishware, drinkware, utensils, pots, and pans are clean, dry, organized, and stored according to sanitization requirements. The role also involves supporting the Employee Dining Room (EDR) line cook by supplying clean items and removing dirty ones, and maintaining the cleanliness, equipment, and sanitary processes of the dish-pit.

Responsibilities

  • Washes all pots, pans, dishware, drinkware, silverware, trays, and all other kitchen and banquet related items and appliances.
  • Assures that boxes and trash are removed at the appropriate times from the kitchen and placed in the proper location for removal from property.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including storage areas and equipment.
  • Monitor needs and cleanliness in the Employee Dining Room (EDR).
  • Replenishes dishware, drinkware, and utensils are required.
  • Ensures glassware, dishware, silverware, pots, pans, etc. meet cleanliness and sanitizing standards.
  • Organizes and store all items in their appropriate location.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machines.
  • Report malfunctions to manager.
  • Load and unload dishes and utensils to/from dish machine and organize them properly within the dish pit.
  • Monitor cleaning and sanitizing standards per Health Department.
  • Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed.
  • Ensure all prep stations and equipment are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Ensure that all handwashing stations within the kitchen are always stocked with soap and hand towels.
  • Ensure that the trash compactor and disposal areas are always clean and free of collateral.
  • Ensure that compactor area is pressure washed at least once monthly when the compactor is picked up or as instructed.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
  • Assist with inventory management and organizing of supplies as needed.
  • General side work, including but not limited to cleaning kitchen equipment and cook hoods.
  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager on duty.
  • Help in other areas of the restaurant, including attending EDR.
