About The Position

The Steward is responsible for washing and organizing china, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, and pans according to established standards. This role contributes positively to the team, prepares for guest requests, and participates in ongoing training. The Steward also cleans and monitors the dish machine, maintains a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and other assigned areas, and complies with Valencia Hotel Group standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations. Regular attendance is required, and other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Hotel Operations or Customer Service experience preferred
Communicates effectively with others

Responsibilities

Contribute positively to the team within the department
Prepare for any and all guest requests
Participate in on-going training
Wash and organize china, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots and pans per standards
Clean and monitor dish machine as needed
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and other areas as assigned by supervisor
Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel/CRO operations.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotel’s needs.
Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Attend required meetings
Keep work areas clean and organized
Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions.
Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor
