The incumbent in this position reports to the Stewarding Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining kitchen cleaning operations, cleaning pots and grills, washing glasses, dishes, and cutlery, and ensuring restaurants are supplied with clean dishes and silverware according to business needs. The role involves assisting in the kitchen with preparation of products and dish washing and sanitizing to always ensure an adequate supply of dishes and utensils. The incumbent is responsible for the overall cleanliness and appearance of assigned area and kitchen as required, and may assist in the main kitchen with the preparation of various dishes. Responsibilities include loading all dinner plates, dessert plates, and bowls in proper areas, operating dishwashing equipment, and inspecting equipment to ensure it is in working order and up to Hard Rock safety and cleanliness standards. The role also involves following and maintaining department objectives, standards, and guidelines, and being responsible for the preparation and upkeep of food lines and self-service stations. Transporting food items, maintaining beverage areas, and cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces are also key duties. The incumbent must complete all set-up duties on time, use proper transfer slips for all items, and put away and rotate all food storeroom orders. Maintaining open lines of communication with the Chef and Stewarding Manager, attending meetings, and performing work regularly and predictably are expected. Additionally, the role requires creating an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Rockford their choice for gaming entertainment, actively building and retaining guest relations, and acting as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
