About The Position

Assist Restaurant Outlets in the cleaning and organizing of the Food and Beverage Outlets. This position requires physical strength and stamina due to the high activity level. The role involves maintaining a clean employee cafeteria, servicing lunch, and performing other required internal duties. The Westin Cleveland is a 484-room hotel located in downtown Cleveland, near attractions like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Great Lakes Science Center, Cleveland Convention Center, Huntington Bank Field, and Rocket Mortgage Field House Arena. The hotel features refined spaces with local art, aiming to create memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain it to complement the guest experience.
Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 150 pounds.
Ability to transport heavy objects through a crowded room.
Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200lbs.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

Responsibilities

Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware for proper dish or pot machine operation.
Quickly wash all ware and replace in designated storage areas.
Maintain a clean employee cafeteria daily and service lunch.
Keep the dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards.
Operate the burnishing machine to ensure proper finish on silverware.
De-tarnish and polish silver for proper appearance.
Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans promptly and completely.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
