About The Position

This position is specifically for the Parx Casino Hotel. The Steward (Dishwasher) is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and restaurant areas. This includes trash removal, ensuring adequate supplies of clean dishes and silverware, polishing, floor cleaning, equipment cleaning, and stocking carts for various outlets. The role requires a willingness to assist with various tasks and a strong understanding of sanitation standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Must be polite, courteous, and willing to pitch in and help others as directed.
Must be capable of walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting many different tools and pieces of equipment of varying weights during a full 8 hour shift.
Must be able to work all shifts, and weekends/holidays as required.
Must be able to comprehend spoken English.

Responsibilities

Gathers and removes trash from kitchen and restaurant areas.
Fills dishwashers to ensure a supply of clean dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and other supplies.
Polishes silver and glassware.
Cleans, sweeps, and mops floors in kitchen and restaurant areas.
Cleans kitchen or restaurant equipment.
Cleans dry storage and walls.
Stocks carts with items such as ice, paper products, food products, glassware, and silverware.
Transports stocked carts to assigned outlets.
Ensures all deliveries are stored correctly and secured.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
