We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working Sterilizer MH to work full-time on our Midnight shift (Sunday to Thursday 23:00h-7:00h EST).

Requirements

  • Successful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested)
  • Must pass ergonomic assessment to ensure ability to perform bonafide crucial job duties
  • Experience doing repetitive tasks

  • Demonstrated ability to document data accurately per CA GPP 80.
  • Must have the ability to comprehend Baxter Specifications / SOP’s and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated basic level proficiency with the following computer applications: BMTS, EBR & JDE & AS400/Kronos.
  • Significant overtime is required in this position.
  • Ability to support mandatory Production Saturdays

Responsibilities

  • Sterilize product according to specifications and reporting discrepancies to the Supervisor or Sterilization Engineer.
  • Release acceptable sterilized product to the packing line.
  • Operate steam sterilizer vessels according to specifications.
  • Schedule loads to meet mix times, supply packing and not overload steam/cooling water systems.
  • Load and unload product into the sterilizers.
  • Document cycle data.
  • Perform specified emergency control checks according to procedures.
  • Perform routine blow down periodic checks, maintain cooling water nozzles, bolts, etc.
  • Initiate sterilizer aberration forms for all sterilizer deviations and tag loads to ensure proper segregation at packing line.
  • Clean instrumentation panels, sterilizer vessels and floor areas.
  • Remain on duty at end of shift until relieved or until all product is sterilized.
  • Assist Microbiologists with qualification studies and check autoclave quarterly (i.e. secure doors, relocate ramps, etc.).
  • Check for damaged truck screens prior to sterilization and replace as needed.
  • Check for missing bags on trucks and make notation on truck cards.
  • Replace truck barcode tags as required.
  • Sterilize product within BMTS according to STEAM STERILIZATION PROCEDURE (CA-MDM-12).
  • Check PLC and release acceptable sterilized load to packing line.
  • Take appropriate action for abnormal cycles.
  • Maintain area and equipment as required.
  • Clean instrumentation panels, sterilizer vessels and floor areas.
  • Perform general housecleaning duties including painting.
  • Provide support to Bag Pack by moving trucks to and from loading areas.
  • Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
