About The Position
Responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, processing, distribution, storage and sterilization of surgical instrumentation both in the Operating Room and the Central Processing area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- One year experience as a Sterilization Technician
- Proficient in both areas of Central Sterile.
Responsibilities
- Decontamination, clean, inspect and assemble surgical instrumentation for the Operating Room and the entire hospital to include offices off campus.
- Operate prevacuum steam sterilizers, ethylene oxide sterilizer, washer sterilizers and decontaminators. Testing sterilizers and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain a constant supply of reusable sterile linen.
- Decontaminate and process durable patient care equipment.
- Maintain and distribute sterile supplies.
- Greet/receive customers, answer phone.
