About The Position

The Sterilization Technician cleans, sterilizes, and delivers reusable dental instruments. Cleans and monitors equipment in the department. Maintains an organized and clean work area. Must be cross-trained in the laundry aspect of the department. Processes sterilized items for departments and students. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

Minimum six months experience working in a dental or medical area preferred.
Knowledge of dental instruments & their maintenance preferred.
Able to keyboard 40 wpm.
Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality.
Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
Collaborate and accept direction.
Able to communicate effectively on the telephone.
Think critically.
