About The Position

Surgical Solutions is seeking full-time Traveling Technicians to join their Team. This is a full-time position with a growing organization committed to supporting surgical teams nationwide. This role involves high travel, supporting hospital implementations across the country. Candidates must live within 45-60 minutes of a major airport with strong national flight access. Traveling Technicians serve as frontline ambassadors during new site launches, playing a critical role in delivering operational excellence and supporting surgical teams from day one.

Requirements

  • CRCST or CBSPD certification required. If CBSPD certified, must obtain CRCST certification within 120 days of employment.
  • Previous OR/SPD experience required.
  • High school diploma/GED required, some college preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with healthcare teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs.
  • Flexibility for 24/7 hospital coverage including weekday, weekend, holiday rotations, and on-call shifts.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Travel across assigned territories to support new hospital accounts in both the operating room and sterile processing departments.
  • Execute the project plan for successful implementation of new accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with hospital personnel, surgeons, nurses and OR staff.
  • Help onboard new Technicians, orienting them to relevant hospital protocols and procedures. Provide on-the-job training for new hires and/or re-training for current staff.
  • Ensure the highest standards of decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
  • Maintain laparoscopic equipment, manage repairs, and replace instruments as needed.
  • Keep surgeon preference cards up to date.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in service, communication, and teamwork with Surgical Solutions, hospital, and OR personnel.
  • Maintain CRCST certification and comply with all credentialing and training requirements.
  • Lead by example in daily operations to support operational workflows. Share best practices to help teams integrate digital tools smoothly.
